A few years ago, I stumbled into a 1968 Mercury Cyclone GT 390. The body and interior were in very good condition but the motor had not been started since 1983, so it was a little smoky once I got it running.  My goal for now is to bring it back to good running condition, with a little hotter cam to obtain more power than stock.

I built this web page to share information with other Cyclone owners who may be doing restorations, buying/selling, or just plain fooling around with Automobiles or Engines in General. With such a small bit of information on the Internet about the Mercury Cyclone, I am focusing on these rare machines that most people have never seen or heard of.

At the moment I am working on re-building the engine. I'm taking the Automotive Engine Machining course at the local technical college on Saturdays. So far, I have completed rebuilding the heads, soon I will have the block bored and ready for re-assembly.
