 | The Two Circles:
Grand Master Hong regards Taijiquan as the art of Peng. Peng is a
complex manipulation of energy in the execution of taijiquan. Peng is then
generated from the proper execution, coordination and timing of the two
circles. The two circles are: the positive circle and the negative
circle.
The two circles are designed exercises that are considered most basic in taiji
training by Grand Master Hong Junsheng. They include the turning, twisting of
body and arm, but are not limited to them. Therefore, the concept of shun chan
and ni chan are both within the circles.
