How Do I Make a Web Page?

What do all these things mean?

Email:

Electronic mail. Person to person, instantaneous, electronic communication. For many users this is the main service that the Internet provides them with.

WWW:

World Wide Web. A graphical/textual means to browse around the Internet and gain access to it's wealth of information. This is the most popular way to find things on the Internet.

FTP:

File Transfer Protocol. A way to move data from one machine on the Internet to another.

Usenet:

Also known variously as Newsgroups, Internet News, or just News. These are some 20,000+ discussion groups that are open to all and are propagated about the globe. A newsgroup likely exists for any topic you care to mention. Get your newsreader out and start browsing - you are sure to find something that interests you.
